NEGLECTED BLOG!

Okay, I'm WAY BEHIND in updating this blog.  This is going to cause me to release a bunch of images over the next day or two.  Prepare for lots of pics and not much text.

Let's start off with the gorgeous Sarah Meek...

Victoria and Kenny's Engagement Session...

This afternoon I met Victoria and Kenny in Nashville at the Ellington Agricultural Center.  We spent an hour or so together, shooting some nice engagement photos.

You probably saw Victoria's bridal portraits here on my blog last week.  If not, scroll down past these photos and you'll see a few of my favorite shots of her in her wedding dress.

I've known Kenny for several years.  It has been a pleasure getting to know Victoria over the last few months.  I'm certain they're going to have a great life together.

Here are a few of my favorite images from today's engagement shoot...

Victoria Taylor Bridal Portait Shoot...

This afternoon I shot bridal portraits for Victoria Taylor.  I am very pleased with this session!  Victoria was so easy to work with and her sister-in-law, Lisa, was very nice, too.

I've posted a few of my favorite images from our session today. Good lighting, a beautiful bride, and a little Photoshop... what else can a photographer ask for?

Baby Reaghan's 9 Month Photo Shoot

Yesterday I went to Mark and Kristie's house to shoot Reaghan's 9 month photos.

As you can see... this is one cute baby!

Here's one of my favorite shots from our session.

By the way, Mark was holding her, keeping her safe. I removed him from the photo using Photoshop.

Misty Freeman

I met my friend Jarrett Gaza at Marathon Village this morning. He was shooting a new Christian artist who is releasing her first CD.

You'd think I would be there with Jarrett to shoot the new artist... but I had a secret plan... to shoot someone else who was going to attend Jarrett's session... established artist Misty Freeman.

When I photographed Mary Elizabeth Long's wedding earlier this year, Misty sang at the wedding. Aside from being a great singer, I could tell that she would be fantastic to photograph. I didn't want to be "the creepy guy" and walk up to her at the wedding to ask if I could take pictures of her.

So, instead, I was "the creepy guy" this morning! Jarrett had told me that Misty was going to be at his session this morning so I took my gear and was there waiting for them when they arrived. Misty looked great (Jarrett had told her that he might take a few pictures of her during the day). I asked her if I could take some pictures of her while Jarrett was shooting her friend, Nichole. Misty graciously agreed.

Below, you'll find some of my pics from this morning's impromptu photo session.

Casey and Brad Tie the Knot!

I had the great pleasure of helping my friend Vince McVay shoot Brad and Casey's wedding on Saturday!

Vince and I had a great time shooting together, as always. It's too bad for me that he moved to Michigan.

Remember that I shot Vince and Kendra's wedding back in December? Well, Brad is Kendra's brother! So there were a number of people that I photographed on Saturday that I'd met before.

I'm putting some of my favorite shots from the wedding here on my blog.

Check out Vince's Blog in the next couple of days when he gets a chance to post some of his own...

Wedding with Vince Tomorrow...

I've been neglecting my blog. Sorry!

Tomorrow I'm helping my friend Vince McVay shoot a wedding in Nashville. I've been busy working on computer stuff lately and haven't been shooting very much. I miss the pressure and the challenge of getting great shots while the clock is ticking! Looking forward to hanging out with Vince tomorrow while attending another great wedding.

Check back on Monday for some sample pics from tomorrow's wedding...

Melissa & Carter Are MARRIED!

Well, it happened. Melissa Rosato and Carter Toungette were married yesterday!

I've known Missy's family for at least 5 years so it was a very comfortable, fun, and meaningful wedding for me.

This was a beautiful wedding!

My good friend and photographer Vince McVay came down from Michigan to shoot with me. The last time I saw Vince was back in December when I flew to Michigan to shoot HIS wedding. Barbara and I had dinner with Vince and Kendra on Friday evening after the wedding rehearsal. It was good to see them again... I really miss Vince. I haven't yet seen the photos Vince shot but I'm certain they are excellent.

But, I digress. Back to Missy and Carter...

While selecting pictures to show here on my blog, I initially chose about 50 images. That's too many, obviously. So, I enlisted Barbara's help to try to narrow it down to 10 or 12 photos. Together, we couldn't bear to cut more than half of them... there were simply too many good moments.

You didn't come here to read - you're here to look at pictures, right? Okay, so, finally, without further delay, here are some of my favorite shots from yesterday's wedding...

Melissa's Bridal Session....

Wow. Yesterday's bridal portrait session with Melissa was so much fun! We spent a couple of hours shooting at Belmont University. It's a beautiful campus with lots of great places to shoot. This, coupled with a bride who is gorgeous, is a great combination for a photographer!

Barbara and I are in the car driving to Atlanta this morning but I wanted to get some of my favorites up here on my blog in case you wanted to see...

(No, I'm not driving while typing... Barb is driving right now!)

Anticipation for Today's Shoot...

At 5:00pm today, I'm meeting Melissa for her last-minute bridal shoot.

She's getting married on Saturday so we're really coming down to the wire on this one!

We'll be shooting on the campus of Belmont University here in Nashville. Melissa is a recent graduate of Belmont so this location has special significance to her.

Should be fun and I'm looking forward to getting some great shots of her in her wedding dress!

Stay tuned... I'll post some pics here tomorrow.

Lou Faulkner

Master Sargent Lou Faulkner recently retired after 20 years in the Army. I met his wife, Joyce, while shooting Dan & Michelle's wedding last October. Joyce told me of Lou's impending retirement and asked if I would do a photo shoot of him in his uniform. I happily agreed.

Yesterday, Lou and Joyce met me in Nashville and we spent an hour together taking photos of Lou. It was a treat and an honor to be able to create some lasting images of Lou in uniform.

Here are a few of my favorites from Lou's photo session...

The Other Knee... (updated)

You may remember that a year ago (April 2007) I had knee surgery. If not, you can see the picture I posted in my blog article HERE.

Well, tomorrow I'm going to have the other knee worked on. Don't expect to see any new pictures here for a couple of weeks.

Assuming everything goes well in the morning, I'll be back home around lunch time and feeling loopy. I apologize in advance in case I post something here while on medication.

I'll be hanging out here going stir crazy for a while. Shoot me an email sometime in the next few days to help break up the monotony!

Update: Everything went well this morning and I'm at home enjoying the wonders of pharmacology!

Ondee Maternity Shoot...

Andrea Whitman (better known as Ondee) and her hubby Jason came over today for her maternity photo shoot. Her baby is due on my birthday, July 2nd!

We took some photos here at my house in order to do some studio shots and then we drove to a nearby field for some outdoor pics.

As always, Barbara and I had a great time with them. After the photo shoot, we went to Garcia's here in Franklin for a Mexican pig-out... a perfect ending to a great day.

Below, I've included some of my favorite photos from today's session....

Jamie & Justin Tie The Knot!

Yesterday, a wedding broke out in Murfreesboro and I was lucky enough to be the photographer documenting it.

Jamie and Justin were married at 2:00pm. The weather was a little iffy in the morning but it turned out to be a beautiful day in all ways.

You know it's a good reception when the police show up. Yes... someone called the police! At at 3:00pm reception on a Saturday afternoon! The band wasn't playing very loudly and the policeman was very apologetic. It was amusing, actually.

Jamie and Justin are getting away to the mountains for a while on their honeymoon. If you're looking in here at my blog, Jamie and Justin, I hope you have a great time. Your wedding was beautiful and fun and it's pretty obvious that you two are totally in love. Thanks for letting me be a witness to this excellent beginning of the rest of your lives together...

Here are some of my favorite pics from the wedding...
